One Week.

In exactly one week, my baby boy will be a year old.

Everyone warned me the years were short...

It seems like the last year has flown by. 

My little blue eyed boy has gone from an 8 lb 8 oz squiggly infant to a big (not sure how big yet!) happy, toddling, toddler!

I am humbled by the experience of motherhood.  I am in awe that I have the opportunity to help this little person grow and learn everyday.  I have never experienced anything like it.  He changes so much everyday.  Today he is starting to give high fives, and happily climbing into my lap (only for a few seconds for a big wet kiss!), but I'm going to blink and it will be off to school! 

Everyday I'll treasure our weird games of peek-a-boo (Colin covers his ears for some reason instead of his eyes...), hold my baby as tight as he'll let me and enjoy the ride. 

Good News and Bad news

I have good news and bad news.

Good news is that I'm going to start blogging more.  I've actually been blogging, but life has kept me away from this blogging adventure.

Bad news, I'm not going to blog publicly.  It's not that I'm suddenly going to start blogging the answers to the questions of the universe, but I'm going to keep this blog more of a life/family scrapbook and I feel awkward about having so little control over who to share it with.

The choice is yours obviously.  I'm not entirely sure how it works.  You may need a blogger (google) account.  But if you'd like to keep up with the adventures In Amy's Eyes, email me or post a comment!   

Hyperbole and a Half

So I've decided several things:


I should support artists/creators/etc who provide me with entertainment more.

I should write about the above mentioned so others can check it out as well.

There was only one new post, about depression.  As usual, it was extremely entertaining, but the lack of further posts made me a little worried. I'm hoping Allie is okay and just hiding out somewhere, but I drew a picture for her.  And bought a mug from her site so I can be inspired every day
