Our Cookbook Shelf

I realized that in my What's For Dinner Blogs, I reference our cookbooks generally in a shortened form similar to how we write it in our weekly menu and never give enough information or credit to them.  This is a list of the cookbooks currently on our shelf!

We love a lot of the recipes in this book but they are never particularly easy or quick.

This is a relatively recent addition to our cookbook collection. You can never have too many good pasta recipes!
This was a wedding gift from one of our favorite neighbors. Great basic recipes.

I love nothing more than crock-pot recipes in the fall and winter.  You get to come home to a warm, delicious smelling meal even if no one has been home all day.  There are some great recipes in here, but a few of them aren't great.

Rachel Ray's books were our first.  You can't beat them for ease and speed.

One pot, a million bowls and dishes.

A wedding gift from Kevin. Now we just need to find a farmers market!
We don't each much seafood, but some of the recipes in here look excellent.

I bought this in preparation for Veggie Wednesday's with Alyssa, and we love some of the recipes in it.

Bought this on impulse at Ikea.  Not the greatest cookbook ever as far as ease or clarity, but still some good easy ideas.

We haven't used this cookbook yet. No pictures just make it hard to choose recipes from a cookbook you've never used before!  It will probably be the next book demoted when we get a new cookbook.

Gavin regularly points out that we should demote this book to our office bookshelf, but it was the only cookbook in my mom's kitchen and my grandma's kitchen and I think my great grandma had a copy, as well.  It's here to stay!

We also have one more cookbook, but it's not very pretty so no photo.  It's just a 3 ring binder full of those great recipes you find online or from friends.  It's by far my favorite because every recipe in it is known to be delicious.
